Xaver Hutter was born in Vienna in 1976. He made his TV debut in 1996 with Der Neffe directed by Gabriela Zerhaus. The same year he made his debut on the brig screen with the sensitive yet fast-paced film called Tempo.

The two films made him an instant star. Xaver Hutter was celebrated as a new talent and was hyped by the press. His natural talent showed an instant impact and without ever having attended acting school, he went on to win both the Prix du Jury «mention spécial» for the actor's festival in Geneva and the Max-Ophüls-Prize for talented young actors within three years.

He quickly found his way to theater where he played at the Schauspielhaus in Vienna and also made himself available for several short films.

Xaven Hutter doesn't like to be pigeon holed and continuously proves his versatility. Whether it's in the suburban drama In Heaven, in the cinema slasher Flashback or on stage at the Volkstheater in Vienna where he has a part in Frank Kafkas's play Amerika.
