Patrick Rapold was born in 1976 and was raised like his brother in Schaffhausen. His parents weren't thrilled when he took piano lessons as a young boy.

In the meantime his classical music repertoire consists of Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert. Despite numerous role offers in the last years, he always finds time for music. 2004 he graduated with excellency from the music academy in Winterthur. Since then he has performed in Italy and USA.

From 1997 to 1999 Rapold attended the film and TV acting school EFAS (European Film Actor School) in Zurich. He had his acting debut next to Armin Müller-Stahl in the acclaimed TV series Die Manns.

After his debut he was offered numerous parts for television and film. Perhaps the most notable part came in 2004 with the role of chief inspector Tim Rasch in the successful ZDF series Der Ermittler.

As Rapold's popularity grows he stills finds time for classical music and acting and will continue to give concerts.
