Pascal Ulli was born in Bern in 1969. Already during his school years he took acting classes with Marie-Louise-Lang-Willi. After graduating from high school he studied acting with the actress Uta Hageb at the renowned HB Studio in New York.

Back in Switzerland Ulli founded the Off-Off Stage with Igor Bauersima, Ingrid Sattes and Alexander Seibt. In 1998 Off-Off Stage was awarded the best independent theater production in the German speaking area and received the traveling trophy from the theater festival Impuls.

Next to his dedication to the Off-Off Bühne Ulli continuosly worked as an independent actor for theater and film productions. In 1996, he received the Audience Award at the international film festival in Geneva for best European young talent for his role as Klaus Koska in the Swiss cult-thriller Nacht der Gaukler.

In 2004, Ulli founded the production and distribution company Spielplatzfilme with which he realized his first feature film Emilia.
